The Lounge Magazine is working with The Art of Tees, a start up custom t-shirt and merchandise company which Carlos Phoenix is also a partner with. The idea is to support the indie artist beyond doing an interview and showing off all your talents. There is now a way for artist to offer their talents and merchandise themselves for their future events, for their street teams, or just from them to wear themselves. The Art of Tees has a variety of technologies for print on shirts, you can have full rez illustration or images on a shirt regardless of color of the garment. You can also just order one or thousands. As an artist you will have the opportunity to design your shirt, and with an agreement with The Art of Tees, they will help sell your shirt and you make a cut. Terminator: The Review

All the Terminator films are fairly story driven as our friend James Cameron layed out an intricate storyline of past, future and present. The movie starts in 2003 with a prisoner on death row, who is tricked into donating himself for the good of science. Well I won’t tell more of the story, you can read the in-depth articles on my previous entries. ...If your a fan you will enjoy the movie, there are enough decent surprises to make you recommend it to your friends. ... The action is enough to make you jump sometimes and they clearly had someone in the crew who was into a lot of explosives. John Conner is definetly not the cheesy child of part 2, but he didn’t feel like the hero I envisioned from part one. ...I will say that Christian Bale who is a “master of his craft” and is ballsy enough to freak out on his own DP, should take some more acting classes cause he has still not snapped out of his Batman character. Using the same voice and almost same persona as the Batman movies, I wish he felt more like someone who has had the experiences that John Conner has had. ...Some of the best effects of any of the Terminator films, my favorite is a single camera shot of Conner in a copter that crash lands and flips over. ...There a lot of previously used one liners that are thrown in kind if for kicks, but delivered in passing.

So from there he and the rest of his group come down to the very bottom of it and come through in the dark with the flashlights on their guns and start seeing the gore of what's actually going on underneath here. ... John Connor gets a signal that people are escaping up top so he then goes up to the top to chase after a fleeing spaceship only to discover that the place down below that he just left with all of his men in just gets blown up. His helicopter in turn, within the whole explosion, crashes and the T-600 which we saw him shoot bullets into a little bit earlier still keeps coming, still keeps coming, and they have a wonderful sort of mano-a-mano fight ending up with a mini-gun into the face of the T-600. ...The T-600 raises its guns and is just about to shoot him when Kyle, who's our young star, t-bones Marcus and takes him off to the side and says, 'Come with me if you want to live' and takes him in to the interior of that building. ..."The chase is actually amazing through all these wonderful streets with all these cars that are upturned and blown up all over the place and they end up on this great bridge where an HK now joins the scene, comes in, blows a hole in the bridge and the truck has to come skidding to an edge, goes over the side, just in time for the Harvester to pull the kids out. ...Now we're saying that this is an old missile silo where the bombs or rockets are obviously gone off many years before, but they're still using it as their encampment down below. ..."Thinking it's a malfunction, thinking it's a mistake, all the humans come running out, grab him, run him inside, strap him down onto our table which is in this amazing facility downstairs, start to cut his clothes off in order to help him, then realize, 'Oh my god... this guy's a Terminator!' ...As the Harvesters and Transporters come in to land, everyone is pushed out very much like cattle and put into this processing area that, when they go through this scan with all these lights, they're showered with all this water to clean them. ...But the great thing is that we have this amazing battle where John Connor makes his way through in there, Marcus makes the choice and chooses to be human over being a Terminator and there's a....." ..."...and there's a fantastic battle and it all ends. (laughs) But there's a great battle where you start the fight in this wonderful serene, sort of beautiful, silver environment and then you fall through into the dark world that's below.

The improved sets and young, sexier versions of old characters may have played a small part in that decision as well. This action packed, sci-fi extravaganza, should entice a new fan base and possible skate through some potential harm from the old fan boys( now about 40 years or so of age). ...Do to an astronomical natural then unatural phenomenon, the course of time changes, which in turn changes the whole known history of our famous characters. A sun of the Romulan solar system goes super nova, which will destroy the Romulan planet. Our beloved Spock devices a way to save the planet by creating a situation that will cause the sun to create a singularity. (black hole) in turn preventing the destruction of the planet. (but wouldn’t the planet get ripped apart from the black hole?). ... Spock ends up bring to late and a Romulan surviver ( thanks to some outer space blue collar work) blames Spock for everything. ... And he swears revenge and during his hunt both Spock (now old and wise) runs into the black hole to avoid getting killed. ... This action changes the universe we know and loved and makes a new time line starting from the birth of Captian James T Kirk. This set up allows for a whole new series of Star Trek movies that won’t interfere with Gene Roddenberry’s work. Since he is not around, they can refer to his work but not have to follow the books, the shows, the comics, nor video games.

Alot of you have asked why does it take so long to get new content up on the lounge, well, the site is somewhat focused on the independent artist, and well guess what, i am one. I don't do music, consider that a blessing, but i am a painter, and i do this site in my spare time.... that includes shooting each video and editing, compressing and trying to keep some kind of quality throughout the process. Then there is the technology. I have to make sure all the compressed versions look good (downloadable versions), and make sure they work on the product I compressed them for. Oh and yeah I have a job. I am working my way up to creating a weekly podcast, but that is up to you guys. I want to have the ability to see your content and talk about it in a podcast and have your friends that you invite ask questions and so on. I want to create a community where we all help each other spread the word about each other.

I won’t go to deep into characters and story, if you saw the first one, its more of the same. Not to downplay it, clearly it was cool enough for even “Knight RIder” to rip off the Transformers for a few of their episodes this season. Umm.. Directed by Michael Bay, from the first movie and many other action movies including Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, The Island, and the First Transformers. Set to release June 26th.

As shown in Firstshowing.net , they give this bit of information: There is a lot of new footage to be seen here and for 30 seconds, this definitely packs one hell of a powerful punch! If you were excited based off of that first trailer, just wait until you see this! One thing is for sure - the Super Bowl is definitely going to make this summer look incredible. I was already excited for Star Trek, but this just blew the lid off of everything. ... ...Abrams, who also directed Cloverfield, Lost and Mission Impossible III. and is written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (of The Island, Mission: Impossible III, Transformers, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen). This is the 11th movie in the Star Trek universe, following most recently Star Trek: Nemesis in 2002. Star Trek is set to land in theaters everywhere on May 8th, 2009 this summer!

The cartoon showed our military boys and some girls fighting against a secret terrorist organization with a deep taste for all things snake. Called Cobra they had a large array of military equipment and plenty of mercenaries to keep the ‘Joes busy. Well let me not get to deep into that, here is a taste of what was shown during the Super Bowl. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra’s Director is Stephen Sommers, of action films like Deep Rising, The Jungle Book, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and Van Helsing. The movie is set to premiere by Paramount on August 7th, 2009.

Magazine preparing its 0.2 strategy.

The Lounge is soon to enter its phase 0.2 of its developement. What that means is that it is soon to introduce a way to add video to its main site, like it has for its social network. The difference is that you need to upload an actual short or music video. Videos submitted will be looked at and placed on the site. So gear up, prepare your films and get ready.

The trailer shows off not only The Dark Knight but a group of his friends that help The Bat fight his foes. That includes The Green Lantern, Plastic Man, and The Green Arrow to name a few. Said to be released in November on Cartoon Network. Unlike previous versions of The Knight, this one takes a lighter side of the Batman, somewhat like the old Batman series in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, almost with the BOOM! ... of the men in tights. After a very successful run of Batman cartoons with various styles of animation, eventually it was suggested that a friendlier version of it. “Tron” story is about a hacker who is literally abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program. The first movies visual FX were basic but back in the day it was the best we have seen. You will see one of the main character Jeff Bridges in one of his “make me famous” movies. This is the Sneak peak at “Tron 2” Good ol’ Jeff is back and the crowd goes wild. This video was sneakily recorded at the Comic Con where Disney gave fans a presentation. One of the best scenes in both videos is the “light cycle” where the bikes travel at high speeds and create a wall barrier made of solid light. ... The Lounge Magazine launches Social Network

By adding the Social, The Lounge intends on creating an atmosphere that will permit the mission of the magazine to get a accomplished, without relying on third party networks like MySpace or Facebook. The Lounge wants to be able to access talents to focus on its own topics and permit talents to be featured in articles in the magazine. The site will allow for personal profiles and allow for friends to be invited, and for videos, music and pictures to be shared. Media can then be embeded to their personal website or MySpace. Each member can also blog on the site and share their insight of the industry along with sharing events or perfomances. Among the coolest features is the ability to share and upload video and pictures from the latest cellphones using email. All this is made possible using Ning which backs the Social Network environment.
